Work Package 3 Knowledge Dissemination and Communication
Leaders of the WP
General Scientific Rationale
The activities and deliverables proposed in WP3 are designed to address two priorities. Firstly, to disseminate research results more widely within and outside academic circles, to audiences that do ot receive scientific documents such as public policy actors. It also serves the purpose of training participants in dissemination and communication methods. This WP does not include mobilities on its own but add activities to some mobilities and prposes online activites to consolidate the network. The underlying purpose of this WP is to be transversal and respond to challenges that often remain under-explored in social sciences, especially as it comes to disseminating research results outside academic circles.
These goals are to be met through five activities:
- The creation and maintenance of PAGENS's communication tools and coordination on dissemination and outreach activities : those tools will both serve as online support for the project and help the network in effectively communicating on its activities through referencing the deliverables produced by the thematic WPs.
- The organisation of roundtable discussions with policy actors , non-academic and academic sectors from North and South.
- The organisation of online trainings on professionalisation on dissemination and communication, including trainings on communication tools such as video production, writing of scientific blogposts, communication with media, and production of policy briefs.
- The organisation of career cafes and training on scientific publications, and the diffusion of a mailing list focusing on communicating and developping employability outside of the academia for members of the network.
- The organisation of training workshop on translating academic skills into the job market outside the academic world.
