2.1.3 Training in art Therapy

Description

As the ultimate form of communication, art is a central part of who we are. It represents a universal language that transcends verbal language and allows human beings to communicate their emotions and experiences.
Art-based therapies are rapidly developing in medical institutions, specialized care centers, medical-educational facilities, and more. They are now recognized as a genuine complementary treatment to other therapies because, through the creative process, they provide relief and revitalization to people with disabilities.

The art therapy training :

- Art therapy training is provided within the Master 2 Adapted Physical Activities program between October and December (See link below).

- A special Art Therapy training course will be held at the University of Strasbourg from 24 May 2027 to 28 May 2027 (the only dates confirmed at this stage). Those wishing to take part in this programme will need to plan their travel arrangements around the course dates.

- Colleagues will also be involved in the work of the Interdisciplinary Thematic Institute “Literature, Ethics & Arts” (Lethica)

- In collaboration with APAJH Alsace and “Collectif le Village”, we organize an annual exhibition (May) in Mulhouse with artists with disabilities. Meetings can be arranged with specialized institutions and artists during the stay in Strasbourg.

This course will be delivered in French only, so participants will need to have a sufficient level of French to attend.
The course dates for 2028 are not yet available.
