After three years of preparation and collective work, the PAGENS project – Pathways, Ages, Generations in the North and South – kicked off this week in Lomé, Togo.
Supported by the European Union as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (Horizon Europe), PAGENS brings together 20 partners from 10 countries in Africa, Europe, Canada and Colombia.
Nearly 30 participants were present for the kick-off meeting, and many other colleagues followed the discussions online. Two days of intense discussions were followed by three days of training at Insuco, devoted to qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as playful, artistic and visual methods – at the heart of the project's innovative approach.
Coordinated by the French Centre for Ethiopian Studies (CFEE) / CNRS, PAGENS is opening up a new dynamic of international cooperation around life courses, generations and movements between the North and South.
